The Cutting Process
At first, the block is classified by the shape and the size, and then cut by a gang saw or block cutter into slabs.
The Polishing Process
The slab is calibrated in order to make the surface smooth, even and straight flat, and also to achieve the desired thickness. After then, one or both sides of the slab will be polished.
The Squaring Process
After done with the polishing process, the slab basically is ready as finished goods, but if Erdem Mermer need them in tiles or other sizes and shapes, Erdem Mermer then cut the slab into the desired width, length, and shape. Erdem Mermer call this process as the Squaring Process.
The Sorting Process ( QC )

The Packing
The packing method is based on customer’s request, but normally for export products, Erdem Mermer use wood create or corrugated box as our standard. For local market, mostly they are put unpacked in pallets.
